Hobbies
I have been involved in numerous committees within the local board of realtors including board of directors and past president. My community involvement over the years has included School PTA, Barb Boosters, Board president of the local Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, P.E.O., Board of the DeKalb Education Foundation, Home Extension, Egyptian Theater volunteer, Gather, and Athena committee.

My accomplishments include Graduate of the Realtors Institute 1988; Named Associate of the Year by the DeKalb County Board of Realtors 1986; Recipient of the DeWitt Osgood Award; and Named Realtor of the Year by the DeKalb Area.
Personal Profile
I am a life long resident of DeKalb, attended DeKalb schools and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Education. I taught 5th grade in Rochelle and obtained my real estate license in 1975. I am married to Jim, another life long DeKalb resident and we have 2 adult married daughters and 6 amazing grandchildren. I believe my knowledge of the area and eagerness to promote is a benefit to both parties in a transaction. I am committed to providing quality real estate service with enthusiasm and sensitivity to the needs and wants of both buyers and sellers.

Buyer reviewHaving known Sharon Rhoades for years, there was no doubt in my mind but to have her as my agent in purchasing a new home. She and her co-workers worked very well together when showing me homes. We texted one another while she was on vacation regarding new houses on the market and her co-workers filled in for her in her absence. Everyone was very professional and accommodating. It was very smooth running all in a short period of time!

Seller reviewSharon Rhoads was a neighbor and friend to me for 8 years and I trusted her completely ! Sharon made sure I knew what was going on and made several calls on my behalf to keep me updated...The closing was a difficult time but was not Sharon's fault...it was the buyer asking for extension of closing several times...I asked Sharon's opinion and she always made me feel comfortable. If not for Sharon, I would have totally been lost in the selling procedure...she made sure I was informed about every minute detail through out the whole process. Sharon is very knowledgeable in the career she chose...I only dealt with Sharon.
