Panama City Beach After The Storm

Panama City Beach After The Storm

    Oct 25, 2018

It has been 15 days since Hurricane Michael made landfall and caused catastrophic damage all along the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. Panama City, East Panama City Beach and Mexico Beach were the hardest hit areas on the coast with many inland areas seeing destruction like never before. Power, water and all communications were knocked off line. This storm was epic.

As of today, Thursday, October 25, 2018 work is continuing on the restoration of basic services to the areas hardest hit. The debris from the destructive winds is significant and will take months to clean up. A tremendous number of homes were either damaged or destroyed. The recovery will take some time.

The damage in Panama City Beach is most significant from Thomas Drive and to the East. Pier Park and all areas immediately to the East and Westward are now open and experienced only minor or moderate surface damage. These areas will be fully restored in weeks.

If you count the days till your summer vacation in Panama City Beach, rest assured that everything will be back to normal way before the first days of Spring. If you are in the market to buy a home or an investment on the beach, now is a great time to get started.

I took this photo three days after the storm. As you can see, it's still here. If you have property on Panama City Beach that you have not been able to get a post storm report on, call me and I will be glad to check on it for you.

If you're in the market to buy on the beach, call me and let's get started!
