Dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about being a valuable resource for my buyers and sellers is who I am as a real estate agent. I'm committed to providing my clients with everything they need to make the best decision for themselves while taking the stress out of the process.
As a Colonial Heights native, I have first-hand experience watching the community grow over the years. My intimate knowledge of this area and my experiences of living here all of my life give me the confidence and desire to help others achieve their real estate goals.
Before becoming a realtor, I worked for the City of Colonial Heights Finance Department for 42 years. My experience in finance provided me with valuable skills and a strong foundation for helping others that I now use daily in real estate negotiations, educating homebuyers and sellers, and effectively marketing listings.
I met Bettye and Century 21 Colonial Realty when my son purchased his first home and admired her work ethic from day one. When I became a realtor, I knew no other place I wanted to call home than at Colonial Realty!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my two wonderful sons, Jeremy and Ryan. My two biggest hobbies are hunting for sea glass and antique picking. You most likely will find me exploring the Outer Banks for sea glass because I enjoy the area's history- you never know what treasure you may find!

Selling real-estate is a large exchange of money and not a venture that you want to do alone. She understands the process, the players and she knows the area. She has contacts for repairs/painting if needed with fair pricing and quick service. She is a one stop shop. Debra runs a well oiled machine while being courteous and understanding.

He is a great guy but he was not as familiar with the area. I asked around the small town and her name kept being recommended by long term "Heights" folks. She was caring, passionate, calming and sensitive to me during this process. I am so thankful that our paths crossed. Seller reviewIt was in my contract to deal with century 21 when it came to selling my property, since they managed my rental. I was randomly assigned Debra Russell, and couldn't have been more fortunate! At first I was unwilling to spend the extra money to fix my property up, but Debra talked me into it and I got a significantly higher sales price because of it! I would never doubt her advice, and her knowledge of local processes and contractors is second to none! I panicked several times, but Debra was always cool and calm, talking me off the ledge several times. I live out of state, which was another consideration. Debra is the best!
