Denise "Dee" Keefe has lived in Central Ohio her entire life with the last 20 years spent in the Licking County area. Having children who graduated from Lakewood, she and her husband, Jeff, are devout Lakewood Lancer fans. Their youngest son hit the winning homerun as part of the 2005 Lakewood Lancer's Baseball Team clinching the win and the State Championship! Dee and Jeff are also historical re-enactors focusing on the era before 1840. They demonstrate the life and skills used during the early days on the Ohio Frontier, including cooking on the open fire and tomahawk throwing. They participate in many encampments throughout the area including "Fort Backwoods" at the Thornville Backwoods Fest and The Harvest Moon Rendezvous at the Infirmary Mound Park.
