Hi, I'm Gary Hughes, a full-time, full-service residential real estate agent dedicated to serving all your needs. My focus is always on the customer, and I strive to make every transaction as easy as possible, ensuring my clients are comfortable with their decisions at every step of the process. I hold a graduate degree in Management of Aging Services from the Erickson School at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Prior to pursuing a career in real estate, I served in the US Navy Submarine Service, where I developed discipline and leadership skills that have proven to be invaluable in my current career. When I'm not helping clients with their real estate needs, you can find me enjoying my favorite activities, such as scuba diving, swimming, boating, and gardening. I find that spending time outdoors is the perfect way to recharge and stay energized for the next day's challenges. As a licensed Realtor in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland, I have represented clients in buying, selling, and renting residential real estate. I am also a certified Seniors Real Estate Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative, and Certified Negotiation Expert. In addition, I am certified by the Virginia Housing Development Authority as a First Time Buyer Representative and a Court-approved Expert Witness. Buyer reviewGary went above and beyond any other agent we spoke with during our home search in the DMV metro area. It all started with a video chat, allowing all of us to see if we were a good fit for each other. Which no other realtor we spoke to at that time, had offered. He wanted to really know what we were looking for and our needs before needlessly auto sending listings like other options. Any listings he sent to us were directly curated on his own to meet our satisfaction. We had been burned on our first home purchase, and in the hot sellers market, we were nervous! Gary knew how to calm us down and make us look at the realistic possibilities open to us. We dragged Gary practically up and down all of MD and Northern VA, and he did it all with a smile (sorry!) and he negotiated a great offer on our long term property when we did finally find the one. We couldn't have asked for a more intuitive, and truly real person to go through this process with. If we sell, or need to buy another home, or know anyone purchase/selling, we will recommend Gary in a hot second. He was amazing and exceeded all of our expectations and more.
