I have a passion for real estate and customer service. Growing up in Lovell, WY I built several houses with my dad¿he taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and what to look for in quality construction. I have a B.S. in Business Management from the Marriott School of Business at BYU with an emphasis in Real Estate Financial Services. I am also a licensed attorney with a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, and an LLM in National Security Law from The Judge Advocate General¿s Legal Center and School.
Professionally, I have served for over a decade as an active duty Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps where I have represented hundreds of clients in landlord-tenant, contractor, and other real estate related disputes. I understand the difficulties which can arise with real estate when there is a death or divorce in the family, and I love helping people overcome the hardest challenges they face in life. Most recently I have provided legal advice to commanders in combat, and this work has been very gratifying.
I have owned and managed several properties in Eastern North Carolina as my family has moved a lot, and we have settled in Hampstead, NC because it has been so great to us. My wife Brittany and I have been married since 2003, and we have three children. I understand the importance of good schools and resources for children with special needs. We love the beach, food, people, and hospitality of Eastern North Carolina.
