Alan was recommended to us by family members who had used his services to sell a property. We were buying this house sight-unseen - using on-line data services, photos and recommendations from relatives. Alan's was our local expert. His opinions and guidance were critical to our decision-making process. Alan handled everything for us right up to closing. Due to our schedule, my wife and I didn't even see the house until the day before closing. There were some communication issues between the sellers and us about when the sellers could be out of the house and Alan resolved them. There was some hidden foundation damage not originally disclosed - Alan found us a great inspection service and the damage was found and properly assessed, which allowed us to negotiate a price reduction for the needed repairs. We had a lot of back-and-forth communications because of our circumstances and needed Alan to coordinate or check on many things. He handled all the groundwork for us until we could get to Springfield for the closing. Alan worked with us day or night, weekends and holidays. Communications were great and we felt informed at every step. We have bought and sold many properties in several states. This was by far the best experience we've had with a realtor - anywhere!
