After a 28-year career teaching and coaching in Tiverton, Stephen became a full time Realtor in 2005 . Over the last decade, he has been recognized as a multi-million-dollar producer and have been awarded for his top-level client services.
Stephen's widespread industry experience includes primarily sales with both sellers and an array of buyers. However, what sets Stephen apart from the average Realtor is his experience as a real estate investor which bodes with rentals. He is well versed in property management, having managed his own portfolio of investment properties for the past several decades.
Stephen has always been an active member of his community having served as a member of the Portsmouth Economic Development Committee from 2007 until 2012. He is a founding and current member of the Tiverton High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. Specific to real estate, Stephen sat on the Executive Board of Directors for the Newport County Board of Realtors and their Budget Committee from 2013 until 2016. He also is the former Chairman of the Board's Rental Committee.
A lifelong resident of Newport County originally from Tiverton Currently he makes his home in Portsmouth with his wife, Joanne, where they proudly raised two beautiful now adult daughters.

Seller reviewSteve Lake did it again. He helped us get multiple offers on our home in the first week it was listed and we had a sales agreement a few days later. Steve always does a wonderful job communicating through each step of the process, being super available days, nights, or weekends, and working hard to get the house ready and close the sale. He has a great knowledge of the market and brings a great voice of experience in helping set the best price and facilitating a quick and easy sale. We're so glad to work with Steve and will definitely work with him in the future.

Steve always kept me informed of issues that came up but whenever he brought a problem to me he also had a solution already in place or was working a proposal for me to approve. Anytime I asked Steve to do something it was usually done the same day and was done well the first time without any call backs. Now that we're wrapping up the rental and preparing to move back to the house, Steve has helped with transferring utilities and offered to schedule cleaners to get the house moved in ready for my family. Having Steve mange my property was a great decision and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a property manager.

Tenant reviewThe thing that sets Steve Lake apart from others we have worked with is his genuine care for people and their families. He took the time to ensure he got to know us, welcomed us with open arms to the area, and was always willing to help whenever we needed it. If we had a problem or concern we knew regardless of what day or hour of the day he would respond quickly and with a solution. He is an expert communicator and always ensured we knew what was being done to assist with any of our issues. We have worked with many others who default to email or portals that once sent go unanswered. Steve's personal touch and genuine care is something I have rarely if ever experienced before and am unlikely to experience again. If my family and I are ever lucky enough to return to the area my first call will be to Steve!!!
