Personal Profile
As a resident of Putnam County and a mother of four children, I have a tremendous knowledge and connection with the community and the area schools. In 1985 I moved to Brewster from the New York City area like so many other current residents of Putnam County. My three boys all attended the Brewster Schools and went on to attend college and now enjoy professional careers. I have been blessed by a daughter as a result of my connection with the local real estate community and in 1997 I became her legal guardian. My beautiful daughter continues to bring tremendous joy and happiness to my life.
AWARDS My commitment to real estate is evidenced through my many awards and the recognition I've received throughout my 37-year career. I have consistently been a CENTURION® Producer since 1992 and in the years 2000, '03, '04, '06 and '08, I was awarded as a DOUBLE CENTURION Producer. I have consistently been the top Century 21 agent in the Hudson Valley Region since 2008. My highest honor came at the CENTURY 21 International Convention in Las Vegas on 3/13/13, when I was awarded the coveted Dick Loughlin International Hall of Fame Award. This award acknowledges the ultimate performance of a Century 21 sales associate and I am very grateful to have received such an honor.
I could not have achieved such heights in my career without my clients. They are the reason I do this for a living, the reason I love doing this for a living. She sold a house for us, found us a rental, and when it came to purchase another house we would not think of working with another agent. She is very is truthful and does not just tell you something you are looking to hear. Barbara always listens and addresses all of mine and my wife's questions and concerns. Barbara is an excellent agent! It is easy to tell that she truly cares about her client's and always looks out for their best interest. She was always available to answer any questions/concerns that we had, even if she was away on vacation. This was the 3rd transaction where we have worked with Barbara, and as in the past, our experience was excellent! It is great to work with a sales person who always put the client's needs first. I highly recommend her to all of my friends and family. Barbara is very knowledgeable. She had a lot of knowledge of the area, which was very helpful, as we were new to New Fairfield and did not know a lot about it. She was great to work with when we decided to put an offer in on our house. She explained all of the details every step of the way. The contracts and closing was very smooth and quick.

Seller reviewBarbara Negro was one of three realtors I interviewed to handle the sale of my condo. I chose her because of the experience she had selling in my complex. She came to my house for the interview on a Friday. She and i signed a contract on Saturday. Pictures of my condo were taken Sunday. My condo was listed with pictures on Monday afternoon. On Wednesday the first prospective buyer came to look. She made an offer on Thursday. Friday after negotiating I accepted an offer. So...it took less that a week from the time I listed with Barbara until I had a buyer. I would absolutely recommend her.
