My husband Alan and I are from Upstate New York and came to New Bern looking for a community for retirement. Our first visit, we were exploring downtown, saw the Century 21 office and went inside to get some information about the town. The receptionist was very friendly, asked us how she might help and contacted Barbara. From the time we met Barbara she made us feel welcome, and her first priority. She is so friendly, kind, and considerate. She took us to her office, listened and took note of everything thing we discussed. She signed us up on the Century 21 website to receive listings, and gave us her card to call with any questions. Before we left, she gave us listings to look at while we were in town. We left feeling good about our experience. Our second visit to New Bern, we contacted Barbara letting her know we were coming into town. She followed up with us before our arrival, had listings for us to look at, made lunch plans for us, and a tour of the town. She spent close to five hours with us, all the time making us feel like a friend. Back in New York, we started receiving listings and found a house we were interested in. We contacted Barbara and she took the time to go to the house and face-time us so we could see the house. When we asked her for an opinion, she told us what she thought and made great suggestions. We have worked with Barbara for the past two and half years (or so) to find our retirement home. Through it all she answered our calls and she kept us her priority. When we finally decided on building a house, she went over and above. She went to the building site to help us pick out the exterior colors and to the builders office to pick out the interior colors. She kept in contact with the builder's realtor and visited the work site to make sure things were done correctly, etc... She was with us every step in the building process. She helped us choose the closing lawyer and at closing she reviewed documents with us, and made us aware of things that needed to be documented before we signed anything. I could go on and on about our experience and how hard she worked making our dreams come true. Now that is a realtor!! We "highly" recommend Barbara! No matter what we needed or asked she was right on it. She never and I mean "never" forgot us. We have made a dear friend. We are so happy to be a part of her life and the New Bern community. Also, everyone we met during our visits made us feel welcome and was truly happy we were moving to the community. Thank you Barbara!!! Barbara is a wonderful Realtor!!
