When we first started looking for a broker in April 2021, the 3-4 Centreville/Fairfax brokers we contacted all highly recommended we invest at least $50,000-$75,000 to make our home perfect for sale. However, we're retired and have some health issues, so that did not appeal at all, to do all that stress and essential research. Oddly enough, as it turned out due to health issues, etc. we didn't list for another 6+ months in which time the market had so few listings we almost just sold it as is, although we did invest about $10,000+ but incurred 1000 times less stressful than a major overhaul. Our daughter recommended Brenda. Brenda proposed we do minor tidying up and several things to meet code but otherwise put it on the market as is. She speculated it would sell within a week, which, astonishingly, it did. We were so very thankful for Brenda's more relaxed approach yet savviness during the whole process. I have never, in all my years dealing with business people, ever had anyone answer any and all questions so quickly as Brenda did, mainly by text and email, over months and months interactions with us. Very, very impressive! Lisa Jalufka helped with the purchase of our Charles Town, WV home and was very helpful too plus was a great help at the closing. I suspect we were not typical clients of Brenda as our home listing dragged on a while while we tidied our home up, alas, at a snail's pace. She truly listened to what we wanted to do in selling our home and we feel very positively about the whole-albeit incredibly stressful-experience. The stressful part was all the required red tape plus demanding protocol. She did any and everything to ease that stress plus her remarkably calm demeanor and wise counsel was a constant.
