I was raised in Wisconsin and moved to Roscoe in 1989. I married my husband, Rick in Kauai, Hawaii in 1988 and I have four children, Cameron, Derrick, Courtney, and Kyle.
For 25 years I owned and operated a state licensed service focused business. I completed my education in real estate and then passed both the Illinois state exam and the national exam in 2014. I knew the company I wanted to work with would be Century 21 Affiliated. The reasons are that it is the most recognized name in the business, the support plus advanced tools and systems offered to me, and the advantages my clients would have.
I possess an extensive knowledge of the many cities and towns I service. I share that knowledge with my clients to make their home buying and selling experience a comfortable one. I take pride in my quick response time, my ability to communicate and to be a good listener, attention to every detail of the transaction, negotiate the best possible outcome on behalf of my clients, my understanding of my client's needs and expectations, along with the professional manner with which I interact with the people involved in each sale. Helping home buyers and sellers with their largest investment is a responsibility that I take very seriously. My goal is to protect your investment with my in-depth knowledge of the northern Illinois real estate market and my expert skills as a Realtor. Seller reviewThis same property had been on the market with another realtor with another affiliate other than Century 21 for five months previous to listing with Debra Paus. The prior realtor did no marketing on the property feeling that the house would "sell itself". He made no efforts to have Open Houses, realtor walk-throughs, and made little effort to keep in communication. The house had an offer after 11 days on the market and was removed based on the accepted contract, which later dissolved. There were other pending offers that were turned away without my knowledge of said offers which then led to a four month flat market period. It was decided on my part to remove the house from the market to make additional improvements in order to prepare for the Spring season. Debra Paus recommended not removing as the Spring season began January 2nd. She became a brand new realtor and felt that she would be very aggressive in marketing this property and she was as there was an offer within the first 4 weeks and closed approximately 3 weeks after that. The closing was the most amicable, uneventful, and kind professional closing I have ever been a part of.
