Real Estate is not just about buying and selling homes. It's so, so much more than that. It's guiding a first time home-buyer through the strenuous process of deciding to purchase their first home. It's teaching both amateurs and professionals how to get the "best bang for your buck." It's helping your clients through negotiations and contingencies. It's building life long friendships with people you may have never crossed paths with otherwise. It's late night computer searches to find a perfect home for you. It's hours of paperwork to make the closing a smooth and seamless process. And all of these things, I LOVE. Nothing makes me happier than to see someone put the SOLD sign in their front yard or to give a buyer the set of keys to their new home. I have been involved in the real estate field since 1999, in which I have worked with real estate title, closing, foreclosure, oil and gas issues, and oil and gas lease negotiations. I have been an active property manager since 2000, managing numerous rental and rehab properties. I hold a Sub-Baccalaureate Certificate in Land Management, and a BA in Land Management from California University of PA.

Buyer reviewHeather Gilbert was a great broker that was always aware of my interests when picking out potential houses. She is a military network specialist which also was a factor when choosing a broker. She understood the current pricing strategy for real estate since the house we eventually bought had 4 other bidders. We were able to close on a property effectively and in a timely manner with the housing inventory being dramatically low.

Seller reviewSelling a house or in my case a farm can be a stressful time in someone's life and it definitely was for me. Heather Gilbert made sure to do everything possible to make the whole process a more pleasant experience. Several other real estate agents were trying to get the listing for my farm and they were trying everything from inflating the suggested sales price to calling on a daily basis. Heather did not put pressure on me to sign a contract, was extremely helpful even without one. Most importantly she was honest. Heather's knowledge of properties in Greene County which included dealing with everything from vacant lots to farms, rental properties to single family homes was one her strongest assets. She never wasted my time by telling me what she thought I wanted to hear but was willing to give her honest and educated opinion during every step of the process. If you are looking for a fast talking, car salesman type of agent she will not be what you are looking for. However if you are looking for an agent that is more concerned with treating you like a friend rather than a dollar sign Heather might be the perfect agent for you. I am definitely planning on working with her again in the near future.

Seller reviewHeather was very helpful with the selling of our home. She worked well in a difficult situation, as this sale was part of a divorce settlement. She gave very helpful suggestions and was very friendly and polite. She was great at communications between the buyers and we the sellers. I felt that I could look to her for advise on what I needed to do during our process. She was very thorough. I would definitely use Heather as my realtor again.
