A full time Brainerd Area Broker since 1977, Jim is a third generation Realtor, following in the footsteps of both his grandfather Ed, and his fathery, Ray. A Bethel College graduate with a degree in Business Administration, Jim is a "Certified Residential Broker" (CRB), a Graduate of teh Realtors Institute (GRI) and has been licensed since 1980 as a Certified Residential Appraiser. Born and raised on Gull Lake, Jim is currently a 30+ year member of the East Gull Lake City Council, a former 9 year president of Ski Gull Inc, a 22 year coach of the Brainerd High School Slalom racing team and an avid lake enthusiast. Jim and his wife Merilee and thier 3 college age children live on Ruth Lake. Seller reviewJim was friendly, helpful and professional. He listened to our needs and worked hard to meet them. The house was on the market for a while, and Jim was patient and encouraging the whole time. We closed via mail and all went very smoothly. Jim went above and beyond to make sure the buyers needs were met without us having to travel there-removing appliances, changing a lock, and hiring a contractor to deal with a tree issue. A huge thanks to Jim. We had a great experience!

Buyer reviewI would recommend Jim Ruttger because of his vast experience with the nuances of the houses in the Brainerd Lakes area. Jim always pointed out different features of each property. Also, Jim Ruttger's knowledge of the local area is outstanding. Jim pointed out very pertinent facts when we saw them in the different properties we viewed, for example hand cut stonework by a particular builder or neat reclaimed lumber from the railroad.
