When the government shut down in December 2018, my husband and I were hit with the unexpected news that our buyer's lender would not be able to close their Rural Development loan until the government reopened. This was devastating as we were only a couple weeks away from our initial closing date. Jen's ability to communicate all of our options related to that deal as well help us to understand what effect the government shutdown had for any and all other FHA, VA and RD buyers as well as us homesellers was critical. Jen was able to advise us in a direction that helped, or more accurately: allowed, us to develop a plan which would keep the sale of our home in a forward moving direction. We ended up offering our buyers an extension and deciding to wait the shutdown out. I cannot fully express how much both my husband and I appreciated Jen's continual reassurance over those months - which felt like foreverrrrr! - that we and our buyers, dangled in limbo other than to simply say: WE COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH IT WITHOUT HER!!! (...and, thankfully, we were finally able to close within several days of the government reopening.)
