A Wayne State University graduate. Enjoyed a 45 year career in marketing and advertising. Earned my Realtor license in 1995, full time since 2012.
Married 53 years to Kathryn, 3 children, Brian, Kristin and Todd. Grandfather to Jack and Lincoln. We live on Elizabeth lake in Waterford and enjoy boating, walking and biking.

Seller reviewRick was extremely helpful to my mother in managing the sale of her condo. He had worked with her previously and therefore came into the transaction with a solid understanding of her requirements. He went above and beyond with the patience, foresight, and proactive approach he exhibited that ultimately proved successful in selling her condo in a timely manner at a price that was equitable for both her and the purchaser. Once again, Rick showed exceptional professionalism and knowledge in helping my mother get her condo sold. Rick is truly outstanding in his field, and we wouldn't hesitate to utilize his services for any future transactions and to heartily recommend him to any family or friends who were considering either buying or selling a property in the future. Rick consistently models all the above characteristics and then some! The overall experience was outstanding, per my previous comments.

He is a genuine asset to your company. I'd work with Rick again in a heartbeat. My experience was as easy and efficient as possible. I have very little experience with trusts, and buying or selling a home. Rick made the whole process a valuable learning experience. This sale involved a trust which required extra time and effort. Rick handled the process flawlessly. I couldn't have done it on my own. His knowledge and assistance was invaluable.

I think that there should be more realtor's out there like him. He treated me like he would a family member. I think that he made negotiating with a difficult buyer much easier.

Buyer reviewRick helped me both with buying a condo and selling my house. He provided information daily to my computer and was very helpful in finding an appropriate condo. He used his resources to get appropriate information when preparing for the sale of my house and was a big help in making sure it "showed" appropriately for selling. When he was away, he made sure I had Jon Lafferty to help. Now Rick is helping me to get help for solving problems found in inspection. He is always available & helpful. That is why I recommend Rick Bartus.
