Other brokers created problems for me. Dan created solutions. e.g. brokers would identify items in the house that needed to be fixed or changed prior to listing and told me to let them know when it was done. Dan identified the same items but said "I'll arrange to have these completed for you..." Other brokers listed all the items to be fixed while Dan went over which ones NOT to fix because it would not affect the ability to sell in our market nor would it affect the price - and he was right. Dan was outstanding in every way. I would recommend him to anyone and use him again if the need arises.

Dan and Jen worked so very hard to get our house ready to be on the market and walked us though every step of the way! No question was gone unanswered and helped us though whole process until the very end! With there knowledge our house sold in 6 hrs. In the real estate world it is unbelievable how many road-blocks the 'system' throws in your way. There is always a problem with paperwork, or one more document that needs to be filled out and sent today. Why a business makes it so hard to do business is counterintuitive, but that is the real estate market. Dan cut through the red tape and got past the hurdles for us. When the system did everything it could to keep us from buying a home, Dan made it happen. He has your back.

From start to finish, listing to closing, Dan Rike made the sale of our previous home and the purchase of our new home as seamless, uneventful and enjoyable as it could possibly be. We initially had a price in mind that we believed to be a bit unrealistic. Dan priced our home well above that. Dan coached us in the process of preparing our home for sale and while it was a bit expensive we were appropriately convinced that we would get back several times the money we were spending. It all worked. The truth is that we did not want to sell but The City of Redmond and King Co. have become increasingly intrusive in the way they expand our city and neighborhood and especially in the way we are taxed. In short, we moved here 28 years ago when the area was mostly horse pastures. The elected politicians of the day promised slow or low growth but that is not what they did. It is now high density housing all around us which tends to make us uncomfortable. The taxes are so high that we can no longer afford to live here. The housing prices are also high so even though we loved our home and hated to leave it we elected to take some money out of it and move away to a location where we might be able to buy a house for cash and live on the rest for whatever life we might have left to us. IE: The politicians and bureaucrats drove us away.
